2 - Plastic Parts and Assemblies

Plastic parts are designed and modeled with molding concerns addressed. Too many designers ignore the details the molder needs in order to make reliable and consistent parts. Foundation Design specializes in injection molded plastic part design, with experience also with blow molded parts and rotational molded parts.

The transfer of forces and motion is a common challenge within many products. Many of my patents and designs have been for mechanisms required to fit into limited spaces.

4 - Solid Modeling

As a Certified SolidWorks Professional I can provide solid models from your 2D drawings, or develop new ideas into reality. Photo-realistic views can be created for presentations. Solid models can also be used for rapid prototyping or as tool-building aids.

Clear, concise, and easily readable drawings. Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ANSI Y14.5M, according to your need. Assembly drawings with associative Bills of Materials.

Any design can be a liability if it does not address the concerns and needs of manufacturing. Designing for ease of assembly is part of our design process. I also have expertise with secondary operations such as ultra sonic welding and staking, pad printing and hot stamping.
